Aquafix -- humectant additive
Aquafix is a humectant additive for arterial embalming fluids. This additive aids proper water content retention within the tissues. Aquafix will help to re-hydrate semi-desiccated cadavers and minimize the tissue dehydration effects
caused by the embalming fluid. Aquafix can also be used to reduce the high water content and swelling typical of dropsical cases. Aquafix is a 100% active liquid concentrate humectant or water content conditioner. Aquafix may be mixed
in any ratio desired with the water used to dilute the arterial embalming fluid concentrate for injection. Even small quantities of this additive will aid the embalming and restoration process. The experienced embalmer will vary the amount
of Aquafix added to suit the specific case conditions. No embalming problems will be caused if higher ratios are used than needed.
Application Suggestions:
Add 2 - 8 ounces Aquafix for each injection fluid gallon to control hydration levels for normal or moderately dehydrated cases. Use 16 - 32 ounces Aquafix in each gallon of injected fluid to help strip excess water content from the
tissues without the possibility of any extreme drying effects.
(You should experience the ease and convenience using the time-proven Modaflex Co-injection, which is an extremely useful multiple purpose product with drainage, water conditioning, and humectant abilities. Many embalmers have
discovered that adding the Modaflex Co-injection typically assures a single-point injection process on a refrigerated case to routinely be successful. See the Additives product section for more detailed description about Modaflex
Co-injection and its benefits.)
