Penarc -- traditional arterial embalming fluid series
The Penarc arterial fluids are Penarc 24 and the recently introduced Penarc 32. These numbers correspond to the actual formaldehyde percentage index level of the fluid concentrate.
Penarc is a fast setting fluid designed to indicate the degree of final tissue rigidity which occurs in about 12 hours.
This reaction period provides ample time for dressing and positioning. Penarc has a high tissue penetration with a rapid constricting effect on capillaries,
therefore cavity procedures may be started soon after the arterial injection. The formaldehyde action is complemented by other germicides
which make Penarc fluids particularly suitable for autopsy or mutilation cases.
Application Suggestions:
Dilute 1 pint of the Penarc arterial concentrate to make each gallon of arterial injection fluid. Dilution beyond this level will reduce the concentration
and effectiveness of the supplemental germicides. Combining with the Modaflex Co-injection additive will improve drainage,
penetration, moderate body moisture content, and achieve a more pliable preserved body.
(See the Additives product section for more detailed description about Modaflex Co-injection benefits.)
