Pharos cavity fluid is an extremely high formaldehyde content (Index 35) embalming fluid. Pharos provides rapid set-up and is extremely effective on posted cases. Pharos is formulated with additional organic germicides. Pharos is used by embalmers who prefer the exceptional tissue firmness provided by the high formaldehyde content.

Pharos cavity fluid should be used undiluted full strength; 1 pint in the thoracic cavity, and 1 pint more in the abdominal cavity. The cleaned viscera should preserved using 1 pint of this cavity fluid. Cavity fluid not absorbed by the viscera can be utilized by pouring into one of the body cavities above.
