Phenometh is a product containing a chlorinated phenol family chemical dissolved in methanol. This phenol family chemical is a highly effective broad spectrum germicide, and can be added to most non-oil emulsion arterial and cavity fluids to increase their germicidal effect. It may also be directly injected into highly infected body regions typically of peritonitis or tissue gas. There is some bleaching action when injected into black eyes and other bruises. Do not allow spills containing Phenometh to dry on your stainless steel preparation tables. Wipe up and rinse with water to prevent chloride caused pitting and pinholes.
