Zonoform Cavity fluid is a 6 formaldehyde index chemical which uses the same active germicide of Reen disinfectant as part of its formula. This germicide ingredient provides protection against gas formation caused by thoracic and abdominal bacteria. Additional protection is provided by the high alcohol content within this fluid. This fluid formulation has wetting agents to insure increased penetration and diffusion. Zonoform Cavity fluid is colorless and could be utilized for direct local injection or external pack work. Zonoform Cavity has a mild odor due to its low formaldehyde index.

Zonoform Cavity fluid should be used full strength undiluted; 1 pint in the thoracic cavity, and 1 pint more in the abdominal cavity. The cleaned viscera can be treated and preserved using 1 pint of this cavity fluid. Cavity fluid not absorbed by the viscera can be utilized by pouring into one of the body cavities above.
